“Retrograde I” is a slice of 90s IDM and Ambient music ala Warp Records. The album (well, half album) is an intentional tribute to a kind of crunch and hiss that comes with old tape and brings forth feelings of nostalgia and memories of things that (maybe) don’t exist anymore. It’s an old cassette in a forgotten desk drawer with a voice on it that you cannot place.
